Man in Trouble as He Marries Dead Woman
A Nigerian man, Emenike, has gotten himself in trouble as he has been asked to marry his late lover he refused to marry and got pregnant while they lived together.
Emenike and his lover, Emerie, lived together in Festac Town area of Lagos before her death.
According to information gathered, Late Emerie had been putting pressure on Emenike to go and perform the necessary marriage rites to her family before her death.
Both lovers are from different parts of Imo State. The marital rites which Emenike planned to carry out were said to have been delayed because Emerie got pregnant and it is against the tradition that they do during pregnancy.
Emerie, however, died from complications while delivering the baby.
Her family has then demanded that since Emenike cannot bury their daughter if he is not her husband he will have to marry her dead body first and he agreed to do so.
