Mrs Fatima Hassan Adeleke is a native of Oyo town, but spend most of her early life in Jos the capital of Plateau where she was born and grow up.
She is a graduate of English Education from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife in Osun state.
Mrs Adeleke who got married recently was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on student affairs. In an exclusive interview with Dailyfamily.ng she explained how she got to the position of the special assistant to the governor.
“I have been around the government of Oyo state for a long time, I have been an active students Union leader, and I have been involved in indigenous students politics, from National Association of Students (NAOS) at the state level and NAOS at national level down to Federation of Oyo State Students Union (FOSSU).
” I have advocated for more young women in politics and girl-child right.
Speaking on how supportive her husband to her new appointment, the newly married damsel said ” My husband is an understandable man, he understands the nature of my office, he did come to pick me up sometimes in the office whenever I worked over time.
“If it involved travelling, he will understand because I make sure that whenever I did not have much to do in the office, I go home to cook for him and do some domestic works, I have never allowed my present position to get into my head.
Mrs Adeleke who spends most of her early life in the northern part of the country spoke about infidelity in marriage.
She said there are many factors responsible for high rate of infidelity in marriage, she added that infidelity is not only in politics ” there are many factors responsible for infidelity in marriage, it depends on the individual, infidelity is not only found in politics, it is everywhere.
“It takes the grace of God to be able to avoid infidelity and to be able to uphold the marriage system. Though am still new in the marriage system, it is very important to know who you want to marry before you say yes I do.
“Marriage is for life, so you must do your investigation thoroughly, know the characters of your partner and also discover yourself before going into any marriage.”
In her advice to women and young ladies, “my advice to every woman is to stay strong and upright. As a woman, you must be able to combine all things. A woman must multitask.
“As a superwoman, you must not quit your career for anything, you must uphold your marriage and you must not allow anything to touch it. Women must be able to blend their career with their marriage, everything must be balanced.”
