Dailyfamily.ng was surprised that men were visiting the health centres as the week had been set apart for maternal, newborn and child care. However, the Chief Nursing Officer, Ikeja Health Center, Mrs. Kushimo, explained that family planning was included in the program.

Speaking with dailyfamily.ng, She said: “We have been giving immunization to children, those that missed out; we go out to look for them later so we can reach everybody; both male and female, pregnant women and children.”

When asked what she meant by male and female, she said: “Men and women have been coming as regards family planning.”
