Joy odama, a 200 level student of mass communications at the Cross River state university has allegedly met her untimely death when her close friend invited her over to meet with a philanthropist, Alhaji Usman Adamu, who gives students scholarship.The man is popularly known as Alhaji in their neighborhood Mother of 200 level student murdered by an” Alhaji” cries out for justice
Mrs. Philomena Odama, the mother of Joy said she allowed Joy to visit the Alhaji with Elizabeth her friend because of the close relationship between the both of them. She said Alhaji invited her daughter to his house and promised to grant her daughter scholarship and also help her secure a job with NSCDC. Two days after this, Alhaji invited Joy to his house in the pretence that his house help was sick and that other girls that are to be granted scholarship were also there. Philomena explained that Joy left for Alhaji’s house but didn’t return. She tried to call her all to no avail, she went to Alhaji’s house and didn’t find Joy or any of the other girls they met there the previous day. All efforts to see Joy ended in futility as she was not seen and could not be reached on phone. When Philomena called Alhaji Usman, he pretended not to have met her or who Joy is. Mother of 200 level student murdered by an” Alhaji” cries out for justice
Mr odama, Joy’s father, the mother and other relatives went to the police to lodge a complaint about their missing daughter. They later found out through the police that Joy and other girls at Alhaji’s house were unconscious. Mother of 200 level student murdered by an” Alhaji” cries out for justice
They met their daughter embalmed corpse the following day at the mortuary. The mother of Joy is crying out for justice as her efforts to get Alhaji Usman Adamu arrested by the police has failed. However, she mentioned that Alhaji Usman is ready to give them the sum of 300,000 to close the case.
