Mother of Super Eagles chief coach dies at 88
Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf lost his mother, Hajia Bintu Yusuf who passed on Thursday 22nd June 2017 at age 88.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have announced the death of the aged mum of Super Eagles chief coach, Salisu Yusuf.
“We regret to announce that our chief coach, Salisu Yusuf lost his mother, Hajia Binta Yusuf, earlier today, (Thursday). She was aged 88,” the NFF announced via the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles.
The 55-year-old coach is currently preparing the Super Eagles Team B for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers in August.
The chief coach has worked as assistant manager of the Super Eagles under Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia.
Yusuf led Kano Pillars to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) title in 2008 and Enyimba to domestic Cup success in 2013.
