JUDE ODION IGHALO
The Nigerian International Jude Odion Ighalo was born on the 16th of June 1989 and has been married for seven years to Sonia and their marriage is blessed with three kids.
The Former Watford forward started his football career with Prime but later moved to Julius Berger where he was discovered by FIFA agent Marcelo Houseman who recommended him to Atta Aneke and was taken on trial by Lyn Football Club, Oslo Norway.
The 27 years old had a brief loan stint with AC Cesena of Italy. Watford Football Club terminated Ighalo’s loan and signed him again on a permanent deal the same day after Udinese Football Club of Italy released him from his contract.
The Changchun Yatai forward had a tough time when growing up, so that prompted him to help people in Nigeria where he grew up by opening a football academy to make it easy for the kids to have a career in football.
He currently plays for Changchun Yatai Football Club in China, and is happily married to Sonia, their union is blessed with two boys and a girl.
PETER OSAZE ODEMWINGIE
The Former Lokomotiv Moscow and West Bromwich Albion forward was born on the 15th of July, 1981 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to a Nigerian Father (Peter Odemwingie Sr) and Russian Mother (Raisa Odemwingie).
The Madura United forward met his wife in a local bar during his early days in West Brom, courted for two years and finally tied the knot to his British heartthrob Sarah Fallon on the 26th of May, 2012 in Northampton.
Fine boy as he is popularly known began his youth career with Kamaz, CSKA Moscow, AS Racing Lagos. Made appearances for many clubs like Bendel Insurance in Nigeria, La Louviere, Lille, Locomotiv Moscow, West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City (loan) Stoke City, Bristol City (loan) Rotherham United and currently for Madura United in the Liga 1 in Indonesia.
He announced himself when he scored his first goal in the 2004 Nations Cup qualifying match against Angola. He came into limelight in the finals when he scored two quick goals in succession in the 80th and 82nd minute against South Africa.
The Nigerian International had his first child Noah in January 20th, 2013 while Theo arrived on May 15th, 2014 and the third Sophia was born on October 3rd, 2016, where he took to twitter and shared a picture of his bundle of joy on his twitter handle “Hi everyone our little Princess Sophia was born early this morning. So proud of my wife! Praise God.”
Their marriage is Blessed with two lovely boys Noah and Theo, and a beautiful daughter Sophia.
JOSEPH PHILIP YOBO
Former Super Eagles captain and Fenerbahce of Turkey defender, Joseph Yobo was born on the 6th of September 1980, in a community called Kono in Rivers State.
The Former Nigerian International is a household name as he captained the National team until his Football retirement in June 2014 and he is Nigeria’s record appearance holder.
He played for junior clubs KV Mechelen, Standard Luttichin in 1998, travelled out of the country that same year to kick start his senior career where he joined Standard Liege and later transferred to Marseille in France where he went on loan to Tenerife, made his return and went on loan to Everton, later the club decided to make the deal permanent.
The Former Everton defender signed a one-year loan contract with Fenerbahce of Turkey on 31st of August, 2010.
Joseph met his wife in 2009, had a brief courtship and later got married to former beauty queen Adaeze Igwe at midnight hour in a low key on December 31, 2009.
They met during the summer of 2009 when Joseph was in Nigeria on holiday during the football Off-Season in a former club, Everton FC in England, while Ada was having a good time in the last few months before embarking on her course at the New York Film Academy.
The former Fenerbahce defender has since called off on his football career on November 26th,2015.
He established Joseph Yobo Foundation in 2007, a Charity Foundation, a Non- Profit Organization that caters for the under-privileged children in Nigeria. He has handed over 300 scholarship from primary education to University level.
The former Nigerian International defender has also founded a football academy in Ogoni Nigeria.
They are blessed with two sons named Joey born in April 2010 and Jayden born on April 3, 2015.
