4 Ways Parents Can Control Sugar For Children

Without a doubt, it is a function of the family, particularly the parents for the increase in sugar intake by children. Fast food, television commercials, and even grandmotherly pampering can all be blamed. All of this, without a doubt, interferes.

Children, on the other hand, do not buy fast food or snacks if they look closely. Parents are the ones who purchase or donate money to purchase. Additionally, the meals are prepared by the parents, grandparents, or caretakers. As a result, it is up to adults to keep track of their sugar intake and avoid the negative consequences.

As a result, it’s critical to get started very away, and here are 4 sugar-control rules for kids:

1. Do not buy
Sweet cookies

Stuffed biscuits

Sweetened jams

Bullets/candy

Confectionary cakes

Soft drinks (including dietetics)

Aside from sugar, which is already a major issue, these goods contain other potentially dangerous substances such as preservatives, trans fats, and aspartame. They will not eat if they are not at home.

2. Make your own homemade sweets:

It’s fun for the kids, and they deserve a treat now and then. So stock up on fruits and make a fruit salad with yoghurt, oatmeal cookies, and raisins. Brown sugar (which aids in the prevention of anaemia), honey, and coconut all have a delicious flavour and are less dangerous than white and refined sugar.

3.
Friends and family should not be allowed to present sweets:

Instead of bringing him chocolate or other confections, give him a magazine to read or colouring books, crayons and paper, modelling clay, and so on. Going out and playing with your children in a park or other suitable environment is a terrific option that will appeal to them more than candy. They will consume fewer calories and avoid sweets.

4.
Do not purchase. Make homemade soda:

Soft drinks are popular among children, but giving them to them is a bad idea. A drink of soda acidifies their systems, putting them at risk for a variety of ailments. They also include phosphorus, which prevents calcium absorption in the body. Make your own soda to fix this issue. It’s essentially a combination of sparkling mineral water and fruit juice flavoured with natural sugars.

Here’s a recipe that kids love:

Homemade Fanta
3 medium carrots cut

Peel of 1 orange

½ glass of water

½ cup lemon juice

Brown sugar or coconut to taste

In a blender, combine all of the ingredients and slowly pour in 2 litres of carbonated water.

Gradually, you can feel comfortable that you will have overcome your sugar addiction.
