A new fight just started on social media less than three days ago, and the bone of contention is “Brisket Bone & Biscuit Bone.”
Some groups have come up to say that what we have known all these years as biscuit bone is actually brisket bone.
A lot of persons bought into it immediately without making any research whatsoever to uncover what the truth really is. Despite the fact that getting information these days is as easy as searching on an internet powered search engine.
Well, student info portal has made some diggings to discover which is really correct and have come up with some results. Here are the facts;
“Biscuit” is a term used for a variety of primarily flour-based baked food products. In America, it is called cookies. The English dictionary does not seem to recognise any such bone in any animal as “Biscuit bone.” But Wikipedia used “biscuit bone” once in an article compiled about Nigerian delicacies.
On the other hand, “Brisket” is a cut of meat from the breast or lower chest of beef or veal. The beef brisket is one of the nine beef primal cuts, though the precise definition of the cut differs internationally.
But then, the English dictions recognises “Brisket Bone” as an English phrase. Some websites like
chicagomeat.com offer tips for preparing brisket bones.
And then the big question, what is brisket bone? Where does it come from?!
A brisket bone isn’t a bone at all. It’s cartilage and connects the two sides of the chest. So if you have a look at the picture you can see that it doesn’t look very hard and it isn’t. The brisket bone is a fatty bone.
To explain further, you remember that kind of soft bones you throw away for your dogs to enjoy? That’s what English call brisket bones.
So you know which one is correct between “brisket bone” and “biscuit bone”.

Hello, it is indeed true that information is at our finger tips but you have not done your research thoroughly. Brisket is the meat like you have gathered, but brisket bone is exactly what we call biscuit bone. Search under images.
