Ondo Governor Sympathises With Victims Of Xmas Day Fire Outbreak

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has sympathised with the victims of Christmas Day inferno that gutted many shops around the popular Oja Oba in Akure, the State Capital on Monday 25th December 2017.

Governor Akeredolu with some of his aids arrived the scene at about 3:30 pm, urging victims to calm down.

Recall that dailyfamily.ng reported that the fire incident occurred at the Oba’nla junction very close to the popular Oja Oba along Oba Adesida Road which is adjacent the formal popular Texaco gas station in the capital city.

The raging fire which started about 2 pm Monday was said to have ripped through one of the shops before it extended to other stores.

Fortunate no casualties were recorded, but many properties were destroyed and damaged as result of the heavy inferno.
