Ondo new Commissioner charges staff to be proactive to duties
The newly appointed Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Ondo State, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan has urged all staff in his Ministry to be more dedicated and proactive to their duties.
Commissioner Igbasan declared this during a meeting held on his first day in office in Akure, he said ” it is a new dawn in Ondo state, as the government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is determined to turn the state around positively by ensuring quality and robust economic initiatives was put in place to the betterment of the people ,all hands must be on deck to ensure that the vision and mission of the present administration is achieved”
The Commissioner, therefore, appealed to the entire staff of the ministry to cooperate with him in achieving the set goals which he was posted to achieve in the ministry and the state in general.
He said he will do his best to make sure he left the office better than he met it.
The permanent Permanent Secretary, of the Ministry, Mr Chris Kolawole has earlier welcomed the new commissioner to the ministry.
Kolawole said that the ministry is the umbrella body of all other ministries and agencies of government by preparing budgets and planning for the government.
Mr. Kolawole who promised that The entire staff of the ministry are ready to support the Commissioner in order achieving the set goals
Speaking also at the welcoming ceremony, the Statistician General of the state Mr Dayo Aregbsola, who said the bureau of statistics is saddled with the responsibility of generating data for planning for the government, which will help the government to make adequate planning.
The noted left by former commissioner, Akin Adaramola was later presented to the new Commissioners by the permanent secretary
