“WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY”
BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WITH TEN CHILDREN SHARES HER STORY
Austin Eromosele
A few days ago Mrs. Laye Ajube went viral on Instagram and other social media platforms when she was pictured with Ten Children, two girls and seven boys, She was believed to be the Mother of the Ten Children and yet still maintain a very beautiful and stunning look.
Are the ten children truly her own? How is she coping in the midst of Seven boys and three girls? Dailyfamily.ng went after her to know the true story of the picture.
Can you share a little background about yourself?
Mmmmm. smile. Ok, my name is Mrs. Laye Ajube. Am from Delta State but married and staying in Lagos. Am from a polygamous home and the second born of the family of twelve children. My father is a traditional musician, a very popular one in the Niger Delta area especially
.
What was growing up like in such a polygamous environment?
At first, it was never fun to me, but when I started growing, it was really fun.
You mean it was joy throughout without any conflict?
There were lots of conflicts, but all that happened then really taught me and made me who I am today. Anyway, I really don’t want to talk about it.
Can you mention some of those things you went through?
Lol. Like I said, the conflict that happened then made me who I am today taught me that no matter the challenges you are facing in life, God has already designed your life. What will be, will be, and it also taught me not to discriminate anyone, don’t look down on anyone, no matter what
.
Are you happily married and the only woman in your husband’s life?
Yes. I am happily married now, and the only wife of my husband. Anyway, my husband was a divorcee before I met him and he has seven children from two different women before I met him. I am legally married to him. I decided to put his family together for just one reason
What was that reason?
I decided the children should live with me and let’s live happily like I am their mother, which I am forever. The reason is that nobody knows tomorrow
.
How many children do you have for him at the moment?
I have three boys; the last three boys are mine.
With the other seven, making ten?
Yes, that is why I called my family one big large family
.
What propelled you into this kind of home?
We are one and nobody can separate us. When I started dating my husband, the first thing he told me was about his children. I asked him how many children d you have, he said seven. And I said whoa, from one woman? He said no, from two different women. And I said ok. Then whenever we talk, he would ask me, can I talk to his children? I would say yes.
What was your reaction, were you comfortable with the information you’ve gathered from your husband?
Then I talk to the second born always, then to the third, then one fateful day I heard a baby voice. I can’t guess the age at that moment. Then I ask my husband do you have a baby in the house. I know he doesn’t have a wife. He said yes he has a baby and I kept mute for a while. I asked him how old the baby was. He said two. I dropped tears. Did you know why I was crying?
Did you at any point think the mother of those children might come back?
(Crying, sobbing)
So the kid motivates you to better bring those kids together?
(No response)
Crying, sobbing
(Became very emotional)
