The controversial musician and human rights activist, Charles Oputa popularly called Charly Boy has dragged the Federal Capital Territory police command before FCT High Court in Maitama, Abuja over the harassment of him an his members of #OurMumuDonDo#.
The leader of Ourmumudondo has accused the Nigeria police force of infringing on his
fundamental human rights, during the Resume or Resign protest.
Recalled that Charly Boy and his group of protesters were on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 allegedly harassed by the anti-riot policemen who fired tear gas canisters and high-velocity stream of water to disperse them. The police were also allegedly unleashed dogs at the protesters
Oputa who was also allegedly gun butted is seeking a N500m redress for the infringement of his fundamental rights.
