Oyo, Osun, Ogun yet to experience Fuel scarcity

Possible fuel hike in the country as Christmas approaches -dailyfamily.ng

Fuel scarcity is yet to be experienced in some parts of the South West, states including, Oyo State, Osun state and Ogun state.

Motorists are seen going about their normal businesses as premium motor spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol are available at filling stations, contrary to acute shortage of the product in many parts of the country.

A survey carried out by dailyfamily.ng showed that the pump price remained stable as many filling stations visited in Ibadan still sell the product, between #141and #145 per litre.

There were no queues in petrol stations in Ibadan metropolis, and no panic buying the product as motorists still got the product and go about conducting their various businesses.

Different is the case in Ondo State, it was gathered that the queues have started on Monday despite assurances by the NNPC that there was enough fuel in storage.

Many filling stations visited by Dailyfamily.ng, in Akure, were not dispensing fuel while few that were dispensing were doing so above the official pump price.

In Owo local government area of Ondo state, there were long queues in few filling stations that were dispensing the product.

There were present of military men and other security agencies to normalized those filling stations.

A taxi driver, who spoke with dailyfamily.ng, Femi Babatunde, said he had been on the queue for over Three hours before he could buy the product at #170 per litre.
