Oyo State First Lady distributes gifts to first families that welcome newborn babies on January 1st

Wife of the Oyo state governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi on Monday congratulates all mothers give birth on the first day of the year by welcomed three babies who were born on January 1st, 2018 in Ibadan, the state capital as part of activities marking the beginning of a new year.

The three newborn babies were born to the families of Gbadamosi, Akeem and Adenike.

Dailyfamily.ng gathered that Akeem’s family gave birth to twins (boys) at Adeoyo Maternity Hospital, Yemetu. One was delivered through safe delivery while the other baby was delivered by Caesarian procedure.

Adegoke family, also welcome their baby boy at the same Adeoyo Maternity Hospital, Yemetu, Ibadan around 5 am while Gbadamosi family welcomes their baby girl at Jericho Special Hospital, Ibadan.

The First Lady of Oyo state distributed gift items and cash for these babies.

The First Lady who was represented by the commissioner for Women Affairs, Community Development Social Welfare And Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Atinuke Osunkoya, appreciated the mother and pray to God to protect children and their families.

She equally urged the mothers on need to take good care of their children.

“On behalf of Oyo State Governor’s wife, I thank everyone and I say 2018 will be a prosperous year. I pray it shall be well with these children and I urge the women in the state to continue taking good care of their children because they are the future of the state and the country at large”, said Osunkoya.
