Parents Jailed Son For 30 Years Because He Could Not pronounce “mum”

A deranged man was locked in a cage for more than 30 years by his parents because he could not pronounce the word “mom” and they thought he was possessed by a ghost.
The boy who was aged nine when he was caged is now 39-year old.
According to the mother, Mrs. Liaying,
“He would run around aimlessly on the street and only learnt how to say ‘mum’ at the age of 12.”
She went further,
” it all began when he was only six years old. He went missing and was found by local villagers, who claimed to have performed an exorcism on him.”
His parents who could not really come out with what was wrong with the boy or understand his mental health condition tried all manner of physical and traditional methods to cure him.
According to a report, at a point in time, the parents took him for deliverance prayer in a church and when he returned after the “deliverance session,” His case became worse and they decide to lock him up since then.
She agreed that it was she and her husband that put him in cage 30 years ago because they thought he was possessed by evil spirits.
The man has been taken to the hospital for treatment but it is not known if the parents will be prosecuted.
