The Police in Kano State has arrested two persons for being in possession of thumb printed ballot papers.
Kano State Police public relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the incident, he said the suspects were carrying 14 bags of the specimen ballot papers at the time of their arrest.
According to him, they were arrested on today by some policemen attached to the Metro Area Command.

Although the suspects had claimed that the election materials were meant to sensitize people in rural area.
Haruna added that investigations were still ongoing and that the case had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
