Police arrests suspected Killers of Gulder Ultimate search Winner

Police arrest another suspected killer of GUS Winner -dailyfamily.ng

Following the death of the Winner of the Gulder ultimate search 2006, Hector Joberteh the Lagos state Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal on Thursday said they have been able to arrest some six suspected persons in connection with his murder.

According to Vanguard’s report, it was gathered that the people arrested were among five suspected robbers, five suspected kidnappers and three suspected cultists at the Ikeja command Headquarters of the Nigeria police force.

According to the police report, their arrests were made between September 6 and 13. Names of some of the arrested suspects are Babatunde, Rilwan, Zano, Ogunade, Adekanbi, Adekunle and Kazeem.

Speaking to newsmen, Edgal said that one of the suspected robbers lost his life during gun warfare with operatives of the command disclosing that six stolen vehicles, six ammunition, one motorcycles and various drug substances varing from cocaine to heroine etc were recovered.

Speaking of his involvement in the incidence leading to the murder, one of the suspects, Igana a driver, claimed that he had driven some men who threatened him with a gun to Abeokuta but never knew they were killers.

“I was looking for an Android phone when my brother, Valentine, linked me with one JK. It was JK that called me to drive them to Yaba from Cement and I was paid N8,000 after I had charged them N10,000.

“The next day, JK called me again to take them to Abeokuta and I charged them N20,000. On the way, we stopped at Sango and two other men joined us.

“We later stopped by at a nearby bush and JK ordered one of the men to bring out a nylon bag which had a gun inside. That was when I tried running away, but I was threatened and ordered back into the car.

“I was later arrested through my younger brother, who had gone to sell a stolen phone later identified as the victim’s phone.”

According to our foremost report on his death, it was gathered that Hector was killed on September 2, Saturday 2017 after he was trailed from Murtala International Airport where he had gone to pick a relative of his.

His father was also said to have been shot in the arm and gradually recuperating in the hospital.

His wife who wasn’t present in the country as at the time of the incident was also a former contestant of the Gulder Ultimate search.

The late winner of the popular reality show, Gulder ultimate search was eventually laid to rest in Ibadan on Thursday afternoon. He was survived by his Pregnant wife, daughter, father and other family members
