"This project matters enormously to me, and I need your support this month." Both of those sentences are honest. Both of them work. You just have to be willing to say them.

What Your Children Are Actually Learning

Here's something that tends to reframe things quite sharply. Your children are watching everything. Not just whether you show up to their football match but how you talk about your work, how you handle difficulty, how you treat the people around you, how you respond to failure.
