The principal of five public schools in Ebonyi has been demoted for promoting examination malpractice in their school.
In a statement with newsman by Prof John Eke, Commissioner for Education Ebonyi, during a tour to some centers for the 2017 West African Senior School Examination Certificate(WASSCE).
He said the demotion of the principal was as result of the report by the National Committee on WAEC examination malpractices on their misconduct in their various schools during the 2016 WASSCE.
According to John, out of the twenty schools indicted, fifteen of them are private school while five of them are public schools.
He added 35 other schools have been given a strong letter of warning, while supervisors were placed on half salary for 3month for their involvement in the examination malpractice last year
