Recently, there was news report alleging that Governor of Ondo state Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu attacked Chief Gani Adams and some traditional rulers during a program where he was represented by Secretary of State Government (SSG) Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde.
The chief press secretary to the governor Mr. Segun Ajiboye said the attention of Ondo state government has been drawn to a news report which claimed that the state governor Arakurin Akeredolu (SAN), made some disparaging remarks about some Yoruba leaders and a paramount ruler in the state.

Mr. Ajiboye further explains that the governor has denied such rumours and said nobody spoke on his behalf ” I wish to make it clear that the governor, a gentleman with deep respect for culture and traditional did not at any time abused or cast aspersions on anybody”.
