Right Materials For Building a Super Marriage

-By Bisi Adewale

If you build a house with the wrong materials, it will not be long before elements would destroy it. If you build your house with stones, concrete and cement, it will stand the test of time. Let me show you the right materials for building a super marriage.

  • Contentment: “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6

You must learn to be content with whosoever you married. Nobody forced you into that marriage; you chose your wife or husband. Be content with your choice; you will gain a lot by being content and stop chasing shadows.

  • Prayer: “O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.” Psalms 65:2. Prayer is very important for couples that must stand together, it’s on your knee you can win to stand strong in life. Get set to pray. Yes, rise up to pray!

  • Unity: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;” Psalms 133:1-2. Stand united with your spouse. In unity you can stand, divided you will fall. Be one spirit soul and body.

  • Kindness: “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

Three major forms of kindness needed in every marriage. They are:

-Kind thoughts

 –Kind words

– Kind Deeds

No marriage can be the best without kindness.

  • Effective Communication: “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” Ephesians 5:19.

Talking builds a marriage. Communication is the soul of all human relationships. It becomes effective if we not only speak with our mouths but with an open heart totally, talking deeply, truthfully, openly and romantically.
