There is currently a huge scarcity of women to marry in the Faroe Islands and the men that are looking for wives on this Europen Island are sourcing for women from other Countries
According to reports, there has been a steady reduction in female population In recent years because young people are leaving in drove to other countries in search of education and a better standard of leaving.
The Women of the Island that went out were more in number than the men and they are more likely to settle abroad. According to Prime Minister Axel Johannesen,
“The Faroes have a “gender deficit” with approximately 2,000 fewer women than men.”
As a result of this, men from the Island are now looking beyond the island for love.
