It was joy unspeakable for the Edo State-born preacher at the Illumination Assembly as people gathered from different angles of the world to have a good time with him. They included captains of industry, politicians, clergymen and other eminent personalities such as Pastor Ayo Orishajafor, Prof. Pat Utomi, Senator Solomon Ganiyu and hosts of others.
The celebration started with a night of praise with Sammie Okposo and other anointed men of God in attendance and ended with a special thanksgiving service on Sunday.
Also the much acclaimed Gospel Juju music whiz, Yinka Ayefele was there as he gave the congregation a well deserved melody with everyone singing and praising God. The funny man was there also to make everyone feel relax and laugh, comedian Akapella which added savour to the occasion.
During a special lecture prearranged to honour the preacher’s birthday, the presidential candidate for 2011election, Pat Utomi advised the congregation to always pray to God to give Nigerian leaders the wisdom to lead the people. He also said that Nigeria needs an urgent and serious reconstruction of its institutions and God-fearing leaders, who are sane enough to deliver Nigeria from collapse.
He thereafter called on politicians and leaders as well to always lead by example and work diligently to create an enabling environment for investment in the country to aid better development.
Ganiyu extolled the God of Idahosa in his words;
“If we asked for something and we do not get the exact thing, we asked for, it is not that God did not answer the prayer but because he knows the best than we humans and of course we have a good governor in Lagos state today, that is an indication that God answers our prayers.”
He reminded the bishop and the congregation to always pray for Nigeria and the current administration and for God’s guidance for everyone in the country.School of the blind honours Bishop Idahosa at birthday
