A female Nigerian doctor took to her twitter handle in celebration of the World Sickle Cell Day to share photos of a Nigerian woman who has lived with the sickle cell disease for 94 years of her life.

According to Doctor Chioma, the 94 years old woman, Alhaja Alakija, has battled Sickle cell all her life. She shared this to pass across the information that those living with the disease can live longer than 22 years.
She shared in her tweets some advice which will help those suffering from the sickle cell disease to live longer and maintain their health status.
