Music Legend and Afrobeat Singer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, held a wedding ceremony with twenty-seven women on the same day forty years ago on the 20th February 1978.

The music legend was joined in a traditional wedding ceremony with the train of women at Parisona Hotel, Anthony Lagos.
Reports had it that he had to do the wedding with the women because the government suspected that he kidnapped the women.
Most of the women were said to have chosen to marry Fela despite being against the wish of their parents.
Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti took the women to Ghana for Honeymoon shortly after the wedding ceremony was held.
