Senate begins hearing, as suspended SGF fails to appear

The senate Ad Hoc Committee begins, it hearing on Thursday, but Babachir Lawal, the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation refuse to show up after 3-previous invitation.
The SGF after failing to appear on the second invitation requested for re-invitation. He was re-invited for the third time on Wednesday to appear before the committee over the alleged misappropriation of funds meant for the development of the geopolitical zone.
The senate Ad Hoc Committee on Humanitarian Crisis in the North East have warned they will go ahead with their reports and indicate “no show” for the SGF.
The SGF Babachir was suspended by the presidency on April 19, 2017, for the misappropriation of North East fund under is jurisdiction.
