By Bankole Abe

222 out of the 300 senior civil servants have failed the qualifying examination for the 20 vacant Permanent Secretary slots in Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) of the federal government.

Only 78 passed the exam tagged “Relevant Public Service and Policy Issues” held at the National Defence College (NDC) Auditorium, Abuja on Monday.

The development is considered worrisome by stakeholders who have always been bothered by the competence of public servants.

Those who passed then proceeded to sit for the second phase “Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Assessment Test” held at the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) Utako, Abuja.

The successful candidates are expected to attend the third and final level “Oral Interview/Interactive Session” at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of Federation in Abuja.
