Shocking: I found my 14-year-old son masturbating. (All Parents must read this)
I was shocked. I cried, I almost killed myself. He is an introvert and has few friends, so it surprised me how he knows to. He was moaning and licking his fingers and the wall. He would rub his penis on the wall. I also noticed he has a bottle of coconut oil I have been looking for, beside him. He keeps putting the oil on his penis. I couldn’t bear it anymore. I called his name but he didn’t hear, he was so engrossed, I had to scream his name.
He almost fainted, he didn’t know I would be home early. I decided to be calm and called his daddy who rushed home immediately. We decided to sleep on it. It was the longest night of our life. We are godly parents.We trained our children what we did wrong. We had time for them. We counsel them all the time against social vices. We refused to buy them phone until they completed secondary schools.
We kept asking ourselves what we did wrong. So it baffled us how this son of mine in SS1 knew how to masturbate. His elder sisters were exemplary children. I begged my hubby not to be harsh and violent but to let us be cautious.
Early next morning, we went to his room, he looked sheepish. After praying with him, we asked him how he knew about masturbation, he said he watches pornographic movies on our phones. We were shocked. Hubby flew into rage, but I calmed him. I told my son how since we don’t have pornographic movies on our phones but my son said he watches it online through the browser on our phones. He says he usually go into his bathroom to watch it to avoid us and his little brothers and he has been doing it for three years.
I was surprised. No wonder, he disappears all the time. I remember certain times we would be looking for our phones. So it was all our fault that we didn’t buy him a phone yet we gave him unlimited access to our phones. I couldn’t bear it anymore so I left the room in tears.
Hubby came to our room later and told me he examined (he is a doctor) our son’s penis and he noticed the veins are already weak due to constant mishandling and that our son confessed that he’s already addicted to masturbation. We decided to take him through counseling and prayers to help him stop.
Now, dear parents, you didn’t buy phones for your children yet you gave them unlimited access to yours. These children are far more intelligent than we can imagine. Please set boundaries on your phones and let your children respect your phones as much as they respect you. Use locks if necessary.
My son is healing but yours might not be lucky. You may not even know until some nerve endings are damaged and beyond repair. Parents please open your eyes and be careful. Please share with other parents.
