A 31-year-old wife, Ngozi Obasi, who allegedly bathed his husband‘s manhood with hot water, mixed with pepper had on Thursday appeared before an Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates court.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin said Ngozi committed the offence on Oct. 1 at 3.00 a.m. at their residence in Ebute Metta.
The accused, who lives at 17, Fatiregun Street, Ilaye in Ebute Metta, was charged with attempted murder to which she pleaded not guilty.
Sgt Omisakin said the accused after a heated argument bathed her husband’s sexual organ with hot water mixed with pepper in a bid to kill him.

The offence is punishable with life imprisonment, contravened Section 230 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
After hearing both parties, Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
Elias also demanded that the surety must show proof of tax payment in the last three years to the state government.
The case was then adjourned until Oct 16 for further hearing.
