The special adviser to Governor Ambode on Commerce and Industry, Mr Deji Tinubu has died.
Reports gathered from news sources, reveals that the Lagos state Special Adviser to the governor on Commerce and Industry was playing football with members of the Lagos State Executive Council when he slumped and died.
It was gathered that, it was the end of the second day of the ongoing retreat for Permanent secretaries, directors and executive members Late Thursday in Epe when he suddenly slumped and passed on.
According to colleagues of the late Special adviser, and other government sources, he was said to have shouted after which he slumped and was declared dead on arrival on getting to a hospital in Epe.
His death was a big shock to the Lagos state government and has thrown the entire cabinet of Governor Akinwumi Ambode into a state of mourning.
Late Tinubu has served in Lagos state in different capacity. He was the Chairman, Lagos Sports Commission and Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports. He was the Director General, Lagos Sports Commission during the former Governor Babatunde Fashola’s tenure.
Until his death and at the recent Cabinet reshuffle, by Governor Ambode, Tinubu was redeployed to Commerce and Industry as Special Adviser.
