Ifeanyi Dike, the young man who allegedly murdered an 8-year-old girl, Chikamso Mezuwaba, has confessed on how he escaped from the police station where he was detained.

Reports gathered that Dike pleaded for mercy and claimed that the police officer, Johnbosco Okoroeze who was arrested in connection with his escape was innocent.

If you will recall, Dike allegedly murdered 8-year-old Chikamso Mezuwuba a niece of his, removed some vital organs from her body and was on his way to dispose of the mutilated remains of late  Chikamso Mezuwaba when he was caught by some local vigilante group in Okporo community in the state.

Dike who maximized the power outage while he was about to be detained in police custody said he took advantage of the darkness in the premises of SCID, when he was asked to go into the cell and escaped, noting that nobody knew when he sneaked out.

Speaking about how his arrest took place, Dike explained that he was faced with starvation after he arrived Plateau State and in an attempt to steal food he was apprehended by residents of the area, who later handed him over to the Police.

“I escaped to Jos. Having stayed for several days without food and due to the injuries I sustained, I was unable to get food to eat. So due to the hunger, I decided to source for food and that was where I was caught and handed over to the Police.
