Baldness also called Alopesia does not affect men alone as it is generally believed. It sometimes occurs in some women but it starts gradually. It starts with hairline recession and can become worse. It can be hereditary or can be caused by illnesses, aging, and medical treatments like chemotherapy or radiation.

 

Hair loss affects women emotionally more than it affects men, it can lead to anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and frustration.

 

Here is how to take care of baldness in women:

 

Find out the cause: so many factors can be responsible for hair loss in a woman from the application of wrong chemicals on the hair to sicknesses, dandruff, and so many others. Finding out the cause will help to cure it faster.

 

Medical Lotions: lotions that have been tested and approved to treat hair loss can be used for those loosing hair without any form of sickness.

 

Conventional medicine: for those who are suffering from one ailment or the other, doctors should be consulted so prescription can be given to treat the cause of the hair loss.

 

Eat well: Eating a balanced diet that contains the required amount of vitamins will help the hairline to be strong.

 

Eat foods rich in vitamin A: foods like potatoes that contains an adequate amount of vitamin A that help the scalp to be healthy providing oxygen and vital nutrients to the hair.

 

Watch the kind of hairstyle you make: at a particular age, there are some hairstyles that should be avoided as they cause hair loss especially at age fifty and above. This does not affect all women but mostly hair loss happens more at this stage.

 

Fruits that supplies Vitamin C: Vitamin C helps the body to develop collagen that is good for the hair. Vitamin C can be gotten from fruit intake and in some foods. Taking Vitamin C complex can also be useful.
