17-year-old Godspower Aderugbe has been arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in Ogba for allegedly gang-raping a 13-year-old girl (name withheld) alongside three other teenagers ages between 16-18 years.
It was gathered from an investigation that the victim who resided in the same residence with suspects had refused several of their advances. Unfortunately, the suspects abducted her and forcefully engaged her in a sex romp in Igando area of Lagos.
According to PM Express report on the story, the victim fainted during the rigorous sex while the suspects abandoned her and fled before the residents came to the victim’s rescue and rushed her afterwards to an undisclosed hospital where she eventually gained her consciousness.
Residents within the Egan area of Igando, Lagos testified that the suspects laid ambush and abducted her to a place where they threatened her, forcefully removed her underwears and raped her in turns.
The matter was later reported at the Igando Police Division where the police swung into action leading to the arrest of one of the suspects, while others fled.
The arrested suspect, Godspower Aderugbe, 17 has since been charged before Ogba Magistrates court with alleged conspiracy and gang-rape.
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Abegunde Davis granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
He was ordered to remain in prison custody pending when his bail condition is perfected.
