A 37-year-old father living with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 11-year-old daughter.
The father, Salongo Christopher Kityo, was arrested on Tuesday, 12th September 2017 after his wife and mother of his daughters revealed the evil act of her husband to the vigilante who later reported to a police officer.
The girl revealed to her mother, Namiiro, how her father molested her sexually and the mother, in turn, informed security guards of their village and Joseph Ssekitoleko, Office in charge of Mpala Police Post was contacted.
Before the arrival of the police, the exposed father was beaten to a pulp by an angry mob, he was however taken to Entebbe General Hospital for treatment before he was detained at the Mpala Police Post.

The mother of the girl, Lydia Namiiro, met her husband drunk and naked after she returned from a vigil at the early hours of Tuesday. Her daughter explained to her how her father defiled her and told her she was in pain.

The sad mother told the police that her husband is a sex-addict and was responsible for infecting their first daughter with HIV.
She added: “Even our eldest girl who was born HIV negative, later contracted the virus and she is currently on ARVs courtesy of her dad.”
She also explained to the police that her little daughters had opened up to her how their father had always molested them sexually.
Namiiro who engage in odd jobs like fetching firewood and washing people’s clothes to cater for her family revealed that her husband had refused to start anti-retroviral treatment but loves to smoke marijuana and opium with boozing.
Kityo, however, denied ever having carnal knowledge of his daughters but accused his wife of planning the whole incident just to take his plot of land from him.
The officer in charge of Mpala Police Post, Mr. Joseph spoke against the act which he revealed that the offender, Kityo will be charged with aggravated defilement under SD Ref: 07/1/09/2017.
