USEFUL LESSONS FROM WOMEN IN THE BIBLE PART 1

Women are rear breeds from the Lord and no woman is created just to fill the space but to fulfill a particular assignment. Until you get this understanding you will live a miserable life. There are many women in the Bible who have done great things and they made names for themselves.
In this article, we shall be looking at some of these women and see what lesson(s) we can learn from them which will be useful for our own greatness.
1. DEBORAH – Deborah stood as a judge before God on behalf of Israel during this time and came alongside Barak, a military authority, to lead the Israelite army to victory against the Canaanites. Though she was a woman whose husband was never mentioned to have done anything tangible, she stood out, fought and won.
LESSON: As a woman, do not allow anything or anybody to look down on you because of your gender. Take a cue from Deborah, rise up and know that you can be who you want to be. You are unstoppable.
2. PROVERBS 31 WOMAN – she was skillful in household and business issues, bought and sold real estate, ministered to the poor and she did many exploits.
LESSON: These days, many women love to be called a Proverbs 31 woman but are you truly one? Now, you don’t need to be a liability to your husband. Even if what you want to venture into is little, despise not this little beginning; just start and you will be shocked at the enlargement. Don’t be lazy because the Proverbs 31 woman wasn’t a lazy woman.
3. ABIGAIL – As an advocate, she pleaded the case of mercy on behalf of her wicked husband to David, who was on the run from King Saul. She married a ‘FOOL’ but never allowed her husband’s foolishness to destroy her entire household.
LESSON: What you can take home from here as a woman is that even if your husband is a ‘FOOL’ just like Nabal, you should always act wisely in order to cover up your husband’s inadequacies so that your home will not be ruined.
4. LYDIA – Lydia was a wealthy business woman and she was noted as the first convert in all of Europe. She can be considered apostolic in nature.
LESSON: You must be genuinely born again, your family will be better for it. Don’t be lukewarm, as a woman – the Wife and the Mother, you must be firebrand to always be at the gate for your family and you must also be enterprising.
5. DAUGHTERS OF ZELOPHEHAD – Females nonetheless, they stood their ground in order to get their father’s property even though the law of the land states that Females are not entitled to such.
LESSON: Though you are a female, there is nothing that can stop you from getting your right.
6. ISAIAH’s WIFE – though her name wasn’t mentioned, her impact in the life of her husband couldn’t be overlooked.She is a Prophetess.
LESSON: Don’t be a local champion, as your husband is growing, you too grow along with him so that you will be relevant in his life whether Business, Ministry or otherwise.
7. Mary Magdalene – She was one of the women who was first at the tomb, first to hear that “He is risen” and first to announce His resurrection.
LESSON: As a woman are you a carrier of good news or bad news? See good about people and allow people to be their best.
