In a way to commemorate Nigeria’s independence, the pupils and teachers of Veg Foundation School Ikeja, have had a procession today with their student to celebrate the country which will be 57 on October 1, 2017.
Speaking exclusively to DAILYFAMILY while the procession was on, the school’s administrator, Barrister Vanessa Omoyola said they were trying to showcase Nigeria’s 57th year Independence day celebration.
Omoyola further said the procession was meant to create awareness for the school and also draw the attention of the populace to commemorate Nigeria at 57.
The school children who were all dressed in the nation’s national colours, green and white, couldn’t contain their gladness as they were led in a singing procession from Ladipo Kasumu Street in Ikeja to their school where the celebration of the nation’s independence continued.
