Late cultural and literary icon, pa Adebayo Faleti has been finally laid to rest in Agboye Village, Oyo State on Friday.

It was a great gathering of dignitaries as elder statesman, politicians and personalities from several works of life witnessed the burial of the late literary icon.

DAILY FAMILY  was able to gather that at first it was a dignifying coffin dance, coupled with a royal parade done by the undertakers and several horses made to lead the way while the undertakers kept on with their acrobatic coffin display.

The interment was preceded by a funeral service held at the First Baptist Church, Oyo.

Some dignitaries present at the event included Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, a retired Archbishop of the Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Ayo Ladigbolu, government functionaries, Nollywood actors,  theatre practitioners, youth groups and traditional leaders other personalities.

Invitees and other personality present at the late icon’s final burial made some indelible remark that the late elder statesman is a worthy ambassador of the Yoruba race.

Late Pa Adebayo Faleti has done quite a lot for himself and for the country, Nigeria as a whole. One major highlight of late Faleti’s career was his role as pioneer director of the Oyo State directorate of Mass Mobilisation for Self Reliance, Social Justice, and Economic Recovery (MAMSER) now known as National Orientation Agency (NOA).

Representing Oyo state Governor, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Toye Arulogun, described the late Faleti as a “living genius and a man of impact on his generation.”

He died at the age of 95 at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan on July 23.
