Nnamdi Kanu, The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has revealed that while he was in prison the Federal Government offered him five eastern states as Biafra but he refused because he wanted Benue and Rivers States as part of Biafra.
According to the Statement he made when the leaders of the Igbo Civil Society Coalition paid him a solidarity visit in his home at Umahia on Wednesday,19th July, He told them that the federal government offered him Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Anambra as States that will make up Biafra but he rejected the offer and insisted that he wants Rivers and Benue State also.
He said: “They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers” “Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it”. Kanu also lashed out Igbo leaders for being against Biafra saying they have no interest in Igbo masses.
Kanu also added that the Federal Government offered him oil bloc and mansion in Dubai to drop his agitation but said he refused that he wanted only Biafra.
