House maids like people will say are a necessary evil. Even if you planned never to have one before your marriage, along with the line you might see the need to get the services of one. Having them around could be helpful depending on how you see it. Ways To Treat Your Maid To get The Best Out Of Her
The question in the heart of many has been how can one manage them so as to get a better result? Here we shall be looking at ways to treat your maid to get the best out of her.
1. Make her homely
Though she is not your family member but the day you decide to employ one, you must start to treat them as one of your own and make them feel at home. Making them homely is to make them see your house and family as a home away from home through the way you treat them.
2. Prepare her accommodation before arrival
Never allow your house help to sleep in the kitchen or living room. Make sure you have an extra room that can house the maid before seeking to engage her and make sure that the accommodation is made ready for her.
3. Listen to her view
That she is less privileged doesn’t mean she doesn’t have anything to offer, it is just that life happens to her and probably couldn’t afford the basic things of life. Make her opinions count too whenever there is a discussion and you allow her to talk
4. Know her clothing size
Even if she came to your house with enough clothes which in most cases it is not so, make sure you know her size and get her clothes as often as you get for your children
5. Make her your child
Make her your child and treat her like one, by so doing you are depositing into her love tank so that she can, in turn, treat your family well
6. Let her eat on the same table with your family
Don’t make your dining table a place she can’t eat, allow her to eat with the family just as your children are free to eat at the same table with you. Never make the kitchen or any inconsequential place in your house her dining area
7. Don’t allow your children abuse her function
It is true that she is your house maid but not your children’s house maid. Make this clear to your children and still allow them to do their chores and washing by themselves.
8. Pay her well
Don’t short pay her, make sure you pay her dues well and don’t let her suffer before she gets what she’s working for in your house
9. Help her achieve one if not all of her life’s aspirations
Nobody is born empty or there is no maid that doesn’t have dreams she wishes to fulfill before she bids the world goodbye. Be involved in her total well being, see to it that she becomes what she wants to become in life. History will never forget you for that.
10. Don’t allow your children to abuse her person
Don’t allow your children to disregard or downgrade her. Let them see her as their Sister.
11. Be interested in her family
