We are not in any supremacy battle with Olubadan – New Obas cries out

The newly elevated chiefs into kingship in Ibadan, were on Saturday visited the Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Saliu Adetunji in his palace at Popoyemoja, Ibadan, after four months of their installations as kings in the land
The newly elevated monarchs were on a condolence visit to the Olubadan
over the death of his senior Queen, Alhaja Kudirat Adetunji, who died last Thursday at the age of 71.
It could be recalled that since August 27, 2017, when the kings were installed at the historic Mapo Hall, Ibadan, the new Obas have not met with the paramount ruler.
It was gathered that during the consoled visits, the Kings said the Olubadan Oba Adetunji is the paramount ruler of Ibadanland.
The prayed that his reign would witness more development. Adding that they were not in any supremacy battle with the monarch, as they were below him in ranking and hold the paramount ruler in high esteem.
Speaking through his spokesperson, Mr. Adeola Oloko, the Monarch thanked the ‘High Chiefs’ for the visit, praying the visit to be the beginning of everlasting peace.
