WOMAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING A MONTH OLD BABY

A 35-year-old woman, Sukurat Olajoke, mother of six and an inhabitant of Agboole Alakoye in Igbo Ora in Oyo state has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for killing her own one-month-old child, and dumped the corpse in Ogun river, in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Report from the police public Relation official, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi said that the suspect was captured when police officers connected to Enugada divisional central command Abeokuta who are on routine watch with the Divisional police officer SP Baba Hamzat

“They saw the woman throwing something suspicious into the river, the suspicious behaviour of the woman, after throwing the object into the river attracted the policemen who quickly apprehended her for questioning,” he said

Police said that the suspect who lives at Agboole Alakoye Area of Igbo ora in Oyo state during the course of interrogation confessed that what she threw into the river was the corpse of her one-month-old baby, whom she killed out of frustration.

“She admitted further that, the individual who is answerable for the pregnancy of the infant, dismissed her and the infant, and since she has no methods for dealing with the kid, she chose to execute and toss her into the waterway.”

The order’s police advertising official said that fundamental examination uncovered that, the presume had brought forth six different kids for three unique men, before another pregnancy for one man just distinguished as Hakeem who wouldn’t acknowledge the paternity of the youngster.
