Niah Brame wrote an emotional tribute to her husband, Paul Brame who she died of cancer a month after they got married.

Niah lost her 35-year-old husband to a strange type of cancer in his liver at age 26 just about five weeks after they wedded.

Paul Brame was told by doctors that the cancer he had in his liver was advanced and incurable with only an option of palliative chemotherapy that will have stopped or slowed the cancer growth.

Paul and Niah raised funds for the treatment of the cancer but the illness got worse, this led both of them to take the decision of getting married before the illness gets full hold of him.

However, after the wedding, Paul’s health deteriorated fast and he died.

Niah shared the heartbreaking post on her Facebook page, she wrote: “It breaks my heart to have to write this a million more times than my first post. Deep breath… here goes… On Saturday, October 14 at 8.20pm, the love of my life took his last breath which ended his pain and suffering. Paul’s health deteriorated unexpectedly very quickly soon after I set up the fundraising. He developed further spread of cancer to his bones but also pneumonia and possibly sepsis.”

She spoke about the pain her late husband experienced back in March, she said:

“I was woken by Paul during the early hours with cries of excruciating pain in his right side and shortness of breath. I called an ambulance, he was reviewed with no concerns and told to monitor. Paul being Paul, woke up the following morning still in pain but continued to go to work as he didn’t want to let his colleagues down even though he was doubled up in pain.”

Late Paul Brame was a store manager and buyer at Zagger on Bond Street in London but he could only work for a few hours before going home because he was in so much pain.

It was diagnosed that he could have liver cancer when they went on a trip to the out-of-ours GP. It was found that Paul had gallstones in his liver which had to be removed but after 24hiurs it was confirmed that he had liver cancer.

Niah added: “I was standing beside Paul gripping his hand when the consultant came into the bay, drew the curtains and told us that at aged 35 years old Paul’s scans were showing signs of cancer in his liver.”

At the Broomfield Hospital the following day, Paul Brame was told that the cancer which didn’t show any symptom earlier was incurable.

After the news was broken to the couple, Paul, while they were at the pub seized the opportunity to propose to Niah.

Mrs  Niah Brame explained: “It was overwhelming, heart-wrenching but wonderful at the same time. It’s not how I expected it to be but it was nonetheless amazing.”

The full diagnosis of Paul Brame showed that he was suffering from cholangiocarcinoma cancer of unknown primary origin with liver metastases which mostly affected those within the age range of 65 but he was only 35 years old.

Mr and Mrs Brame, finally tied the knot on the 10th of September at West Street Vineyard in Coggeshall, surrounded by their family and friends.

Mrs Brame said: “It was more than I could have ever hoped it would be because he was so well and he was able to walk and talk and enjoy himself. I probably didn’t have the normal feelings for a wedding day but still it was incredibly humbling and I’m so grateful we were able to do it.”

Mr Brame died after he had fought a blocked bowel, fatigue, sickness, constant nosebleeds, as well as extreme weight loss.
