A 35-year- old woman, Nafisat Raji has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by the Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State for stealing a phone.
The prosecutor, Inspector Joshua Oladoye who told the court that the Nofisat Raji stole a Techno Y6 mobile phone of one Deborah Akindele, valued N14,500 on at Fayemi Street, Osogbo
The inspector also said that the lady stole one HP Pavilion Laptop of one Mubarak Olaboopo N45,000 on the 30th of August, 2017 at Akeju street, opposite Government Technical College in Osogbo
According to inspector Joshua, the offences contravened sections 412,383 and punishable section 390(9) of Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003
The accused who was seriously crying pleaded guilty of the charges levelled against her.
Her Counsel, Mr Nagite Okobe urged the court to temper justice with mercy.
In her judgement, Magistrate Adenike Olowolagba sentenced Raji to 6-month imprisonment with an option of N3,000 fine.
