Yinka Odumakin’ Wife wept saying; ‘A part Of Me Is Gone’

‘A part of me is gone,’ Joe Odumakin weeps as husband dies

Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, spouse of Yinka Odumakin, the deceased representative of the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere wept as she confirmed the passing of her husband.

As indicated by Dr. Joe Odumakin, the Afenifere spokesman passed on at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.

She said: “A part of me is no more. A part of me is no more. He contended energetically at the emergency unit. Petition God for me to endure this. My affection is no more.

“He was alright previously. Indeed, even on march 10 he was all the while going for meetings. He was recovering yesterday but he died this morning. I am at the intensive care unit. A part of me is gone.”

Yinka Odumakin, who was also a political activist died aged 56 years.

Odumakin supposedly passed on of intricacies from Coronavirus.
Odumakin reportedly died of complications from COVID-19.

He was said to have been battling underlying conditions such as diabetes before the COVID-19 attack.

Joe later released a statement:

With gratitude to the Supreme Being for a life well spent, I announce the passing on of my beloved husband, Comrade Yinka Odumakin to the great beyond after a brief illness.

The sad event happened this morning (Saturday, 3/4/2021) at the intensive care unit of LASUTH where he was being managed for respiratory issues due to complications from COVID-19 which he had recovered from about a week ago.

I appreciate the outpouring of grief and sympathy from home and abroad as I mourn my irreplaceable soulmate. I urge us all to remain steadfast in the cause of the masses to which he dedicated his life.

Burial arrangement will be made public in due course
