A young woman's night turned into a nightmare, leaving her brave enough to report the horror and seek justice.

In Abeokuta, Ogun State, police have arrested 50-year-old Chinese national Li-jian Yuan for the alleged indecent assault and rape of 23-year-old Wemimo Adebowale.
The suspect works at Zhiylian Global Quarry in Kobape, and his arrest came after detectives acted swiftly on the victim's formal complaint, as reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
The alleged assault occurred on January 28, 2026, just two days before Adebowale summoned the courage to speak out on January 30.
Sources close to the investigation told Zagazola Makama that Yuan was apprehended following the complaint, highlighting the quick response from law enforcement to the survivor's plea for help.
Li-jian Yuan now remains in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities in Ogun State have assured the public of diligent follow-up, with the suspect expected to be arraigned in court soon upon completion of the probe.
