Tiphaine Auzière, the youngest of French First Lady Brigitte Macron’s three children, is dating a business-school student who is nearly half her age, drawing comparisons to her mother’s own unconventional romance.

Auzière, 42, debuted her relationship with 22-year-old Antoine Lecomte in an Instagram post detailing a romantic break in Amsterdam.
She shared images of the couple driving to the Netherlands in a campervan before checking into the Faralda Hotel, with footage showing them strolling around the city and visiting exhibitions.
Lecomte captioned the trip: ‘48h in 'Dam with Madam.’
Their romance was first revealed by Gala, a weekly celebrity magazine, last month, after the couple reportedly met on the beaches of Le Touquet, the Macron family’s favoured Channel resort.
‘Whilst their age difference – a 20-year gap – is likely to cause quite a stir, the couple do not seem to mind,’ wrote Madame Figaro, a French magazine supplement to Le Figaro.
Friends have drawn comparisons with Brigitte Macron, 73, who was a married 40-year-old teacher and mother of three when Emmanuel Macron, then 15, fell in love with her in Amiens.
“Antoine is an adventurer who is afraid of nothing, while Tiphaine is very like her mother. Like Brigitte, she only listens to her heart and does not care what others think,” one friend told Gala.
Another friend said: “It was an instant connection between them. They have a lot in common: a love of Le Touquet and thrills, but also travel and entrepreneurship.”
Brigitte Macron is also said to have given the relationship her blessing.
“She reacted like all mothers would. All that matters to her is her daughter’s happiness, so she is very happy to see her fulfilled,” a friend of Ms Auzière told Gala.
