In Kayari village, Yobe State, what should have been a day full of laughter and dancing at a wedding ended in deep sorrow on January 13, 2026. A disagreement between the Manu and Ibrahim families escalated quickly around 6:30 p.m at Wakili Sumaye's home, leading to a fight where cutlasses were used. Four young men were rushed to the hospital, but sadly, 30 year old Abdullahi Manu did not survive his injuries.
The other three, Adamu Manu aged 27, Ilyasu Manu aged 30, and Mohammadu Ibrahim aged 20, are receiving treatment while police investigate.
