3-Year-Old Missing Boy Found Dead In Soakaway (See Details)
A 3-year-old boy who went missing was found dead in a soakaway at Simpson Street, Ebute Metta area of Lagos.

According to Punch reports, the boy identified as Waris was said to have gone missing after he left his mother to go and play outside their house.
The mother raised an alarm when she could not find her son. The boy who went missing around 3:30 pm was found in the soakaway pit by 7 pm in the evening.
Waris was brought out of the soakaway by neighbours and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Father of the dead child explained that the soakaway was left opened because work was about to begin on it.
He said: “His mother went to pick him in school and when they got home, his mother changed his clothes and he went out to play. They don’t normally open the cesspit, but yesterday (Wednesday) they wanted to work on it, so they opened it to bring out water that was inside.”
