Shocking: Army Chief writes poem to Boko Haram leader
Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has issued a strong warning to the leader of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, to surrender his arms and embrace peace or be ready for total destruction.
The Army Chief issued this warning on Thursday in a poem he released, titled ‘End Of The Road’.
Buratai in his poem advised Shekau to surrender, stressing that the era of his deceit and fake ideologies were over as all his foot soldiers and ‘foolish’ pawns have abandoned him.

The deceit is over
Fake ideology preached no more
Surrender before the patient birds
Hovering above you ready to land
Easy prey you are today Shekau
Your foot guards perished
Your foolish pawns escaped
Abandoned you to your follies and perils

The pride of the Nation
Never again for peace to elude
Our land of honour to rise greater than before.”
