Movies provides entertainment for everyone watching, a phase where we all find satisfaction in augmented reality through the dialogue or actions in therein. These movies bring emotions to the audiences, pass across a message or messages and create the way to imitate reality.

For parents and guardians, it is very paramount to be intentional and mindful of the movies the children watch. Children imitate almost everything they come across, from sounds to expressions to walks and even think just like us. Should we be relaxed about what the external factors inculcate into our children?
Just like Jeremiah 2 vs 3 highlights the questions asked by God to the house of Jacob on how the chosen tribe stfayed away from God's ways and precepts, following worthless idols and becoming worthless themselves - so we ask ourselves, HOW HAVE WE ARE ALLOWING OUR CHILDREN WATCH WORTHLESS MOVIES AND ARE BECOMING WORTHLESS TO THE WAYS AND THINGS OF THE SPIRIT?
These movies have characters which resonates and may as well inspire children to bring what they watch and see to life. In the midst of playing and having robust socialization among their peers, these characters become what they rub off on each other - superheroes, action figures, 'boss-and-actor' etc.
Be mindful of what they children watch and listen to for they become what they see and hear. The hours spent outside is not under scrutiny but a whole phase where they become whatever they want to be. They sing, dance, learn, act and push the things most endeared to them. The pressure to become just what a friend is choking that no child wants to experience the fear of missing out (FOMO).
Whether it is anime or sing-along, cartoon or kiddies TV progs, watch and pray at the same time. Nowadays, cartoons are the chosen medium to incorporate strange ideologies about almost everything. The ratings of TV programmes might be dancing on the fence but do more research about what TV programme you child is becoming interested in.
